Basic information

Fee structure

Dalian Medical University (DMU) is a key construction university of the first class university in Liaoning province. Clinical Medicine is its earliest established discipline in DMU with a solid foundation and strong academic strength. The university has a staff team of 4500, including 580 professors, 660 associate professors, and 910 Doctoral. 

Campus Environment

Dalian Medical University has two campuses, both two in Dalian city. The main campus is in 9 Western Section, Lvshun South Street, Lvshunkou District, where overseas students live. The another is in Zhongshan District.

This is a certified MBBS program aiming to improve students' professional knowledge and skills and make you adapt to the international medical talent market demand. The MBBS program in DMU offers a 6-year standard schooling system and credit system management.

10th semester to 11th semester: 

Internship, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Neurology, Out-patient department

12th semester: 

Clinical Training, Clinical skills training, Clinical Practice, Elective Courses, Training for License exam, Scientific Research

Internship

1. The internship starts in the second semester of the 5th year with a duration of about 1 year.

2. If you choose to do the internship in China, you must pass HSK 4 before starting the internship.

3. If you want to do the internship in another country, DMU needs to do a qualification evaluation at your chosen hospital.

4. The internship will be taken in the school affiliated hospitals of DLMEDU, which are provincial hospitals of Class A, Grade III, with a total of 6,000 beds and 118 clinical teaching bases.

5. The tuition for the internship year is still RMB 42,000/year. When doing the internship in China, you can live on campus or rent house by yourselves

Career Plan
 

1. If students obtain an MBBS degree, they can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council to get registered and practice medicine.

2. Students with MBBS degree can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes, and other health facilities.

3. Graduates can also open up his own clinic or pursue study for a master's degree.

Dormitory

Apartment for International Students is on the main campus, building 2 is for male students, building 19 is for female students. All rooms are equipped with wardrobe, desk, chair, equipped bed with bedding, television, bathroom, heater, internet, telephone.

The canteen of Dalian Medical University is very clean with great decoration.

1. Grasping and using basic Chinese and medical Chinese.

4. Undergraduates will be granted a certificate and a medical degree by DMU.

5. The degree in the English copy of will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).

Note: Upon graduation, students must pass HSK 4 Level to get the diploma.

Entry Requirements

1. Applicants should be between 18-25 years old, healthy.

2. Have completed the senior high school course with good marks.

3. Have solid financial support to afford the study and living expenses in China.

4. Chemistry, physics, biology, English are compulsory subjects, maths is a reference subject for admission evaluation.

2. What’s the qualification of the teachers?

The faculty of DMU is recruited from Harvard Medical School, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, John Hopkins University, etc.

3. How many international students at DMU?

To this date, there are 1132 international students enrolled in DMU. Its international students come from all across the five continents of the world for over 100 countries.

4.Can I get to the university ahead of time?

One week check-in before registration is allowed. But you are not suggested to come earlier than one week in fear of no available dormitory for you and can’t apply for the resident permit.

5. Is there any airport pick-up service?

DMU provides taxi service in Dalian Zhou ShuiZi International Airport and Dalian Railway Station. The pick-up fee is around RMB 200-300 and you need to book the service at least 5 working days in advance of your arrival.
