Founded in 1956, Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) is one of the top 100 universities in China and a key provincial university, ZJNU specializes in teacher education with multiple branches of learning. The university has an enrollment of more than 3000 international students. 

Campus

ZJNU covers two campuses in Zhangjiang province. The main one is located in one of the four metropolitan areas in Zhejiang Province—Jinhua—Yiwu Metropolitan area. There are three lakes in the school, near the Beishan Mountain and the peak mountain ( the first peak in Jinhua ) -- students can go hiking and camping.

Facilities

The university is well equipped with advanced and multi-functional facilities. The library has a collection of over 3.7 million hard-copy books and 2.2 million e-books. Plus, the library has the largest movie theater in Zhejiang, and the students can see the free movie.

Faculty

ZJNU faculty come from a variety of home countries and contribute to the overall diversity of the campus. To date, international faculty have included individuals from USA, Japan, the UK, Canada, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Australia, New Zealand.

This program is a provincial key specialty of ZJNU. It is a four-year English-taught program established on the fundamental theories and emphasizes on the practices, innovation and research of Computer Science and Technology.

 

Training Target

This program mainly cultivates engineering and technical talents with strong theoretical foundation, engineering practice ability and innovative spirit. It also attaches great importance to foster students into highly competitive engineering and technical personnel, as well as teaching and management talents related to computer science and technology.

Career Plan

Zhejiang have a bunch of companies that urgently need a large number of IT talents. The graduates mainly work in the field of computer application, embedded system and software, computer software and hardware system, information system, computer network, can be work on technology development, research, application and technology management, etc.

Dormitory

The rooms of international students’ dormitory are equipped with furniture, air conditioning, bathrooms etc. Kitchens with refrigerators, microwave ovens and electromagnetic ovens are equipped on every floor. Laundry room is configured with intelligent system.

Activities

A great variety of cultural activities organized by the ZJNU, such as Sports Meetings, Volleyball Tournament, Talent Show and Home Stay in Jinhua Historical Village, etc. All these activities have enriched the students’ lives and provided them with a large stage to show their talent as well as to improve their capabilities.

Among the total staff of 2,850, there are 1,920 full-time teachers, including 340 full professors and 680 associate professors, and 800 teachers hold doctorate degrees.

3. Is the university located in the downtown?

The university is close to the downtown, it takes about 20 minutes by car to get to the city center; 30 minutes’ drive to Yiwu Airport; 40 minutes to Hangzhou and 100 minutes to Shanghai by the High-Speed Rail.

4. What is the class schedule?

Classes start at 8:00 in the morning and end at 5:05 in the afternoon. It’s 40 minutes per class.
