Fee structure

Lingnan (University) College was reestablished in 1988 within Sun Yat-sen University and is now one of the top schools of economics and management in China. The College provides high-quality economics and management education that draws strength from the liberal arts and is tirelessly striving for the advancement of teaching and research of the knowledge of economics and management. 

Campus Environment

Sun Yat-sen University has four campuses. Lingnan college is on the main campus -- South Campus, in No. 135, Xingang Xi Road, Guangzhou.

Lingnan MBA program is among the top 10 programs nationally and enjoys an unshakable leading position in South China. Lingnan College provides IMBA students with not only high-level education but also numerous opportunities to study overseas.

 

Basic Settings

1. Students are classified by taking a proficiency test.

2. A class is usually composed of 20-30 students.

3.Electives are offered for students to choose from one to three courses according to students' interests and Chinese capacity.

Series Lectures

All speakers of the Series Lectures on International Management are senior executives from multinational companies. And the forums cover a wide range of business subjects in Entrepreneurship, Professional Ethics & Practical Cases, Marketing & Branding, Risk Management and etc.

Alumni Mentor

Lingnan alumni elites from different industries are invited to be mentors to Lingnan MBA students to share and exchange information, resources, and experience. Moreover, alumnis will help MBA students develop ethics, study, and career.

Career Development

Lingnan provides career development services to its full-time students with the support from the Career Development Center.  Career development courses, job fairs, mock interview, internship, etc will be provided to the students.

MIT Sloan Visiting Fellows Program

To further broaden the global business vision of international MBA students, Lingnan will select up to 4 international MBA students at MIT Visiting Fellows to study at MIT Sloan for one semester every year, which is one of the most strategic moves for Lingnan international MBA program.

 

International Exchange Program

Lingnan has established exchange programs with 40 partner schools around the world. Students could apply for semester-based exchange to broaden their global visions and enrich their MBA experience.

International Study Tour

In addition to international exchange opportunities, Lingnan offers overseas study tour for MBA students to further broaden their global business perspective. Every summer since the year 2012 Lingnan (University) College has organized international study tours in the U.S.A. and Europe. The study tours include lectures, company visits, and student events.

 

Action Learning Program

Lingnan international MBA program integrates Action Learning in the core of its curriculum. International MBA students are assigned specific projects that emphasize the application of traditional classroom learning into real-life settings while addressing critical business issues faced by corporate clients.

Dormitory

International Student Dorm 351 and 103 are prepared for Language students and graduates. In the downtown of Guangzhou City, nearby Subway Line 8. All rooms are equipped with wardrobe, desk, chair, equipped bed, telephone, air conditioner, water dispensers, Internet access, toilet, and bathroom. Washing machines, reading room, and a public television hall are also provided.

There are eight canteens together on the South Campus: Kangle Yuan Restaurant, No.1 Student Canteen, No.5 Student Canteen, May Restaurant, Chunhui Yuan Canteen, Faculty (Puyuan) Canteen, South Lawn Canteen and Muslim Canteen.

According to the 2019 Chinese universities ranking by QS, the University is at the 12 place. And it has eighteen disciplines ranked in the top 1% in the world based on ESI.

2. What’s the qualification of the teachers?

At present, the College has 94 faculty members including 41 Ph.D. supervisors and 84 master supervisors. 97% of them have gained the Ph. D degrees. 90% of them have overseas teaching, research, and educational experiences.

3. Is the university located in the downtown?

Yes, the South Campus of SYSU is in the center of Guangzhou City. There are commercial street, shopping mall and subway station around the campus.

4. What is the class schedule?

Core course and compulsory course are arranged from Monday to Friday, and electives are arranged on the night of every Saturday and Sunday.

5. Is there any airport pick-up service?
